The Scout Rank is the first rank one you will earn and will be the first earned patch for you to sew onto your uniform shirt. There are a few requirements that will need to be completed, and demonstrated, for the Scoutmaster before you can be awarded your Scout Rank patch.

1. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance

2. Demonstrate the Scout sign, salute, and handshake

3. Demonstrate tying the square (joining) knot

​

4. Understand, and agree, to live by the Scout Oath, Law, Motto, Slogan,

    and the Outdoor Code

5. Describe the Scout Badge
